SWTOR Imperial Agent Stats Guide

In this SWTOR Imperial Agent stats guide, we will be discussing the best primary and secondary stats for the Imperial Agent and going over what each of these effects does.

We will start with the Imperial Agent’s primary stats and then discuss their relevant secondary stats.

SWTOR Imperial Agent Stats Guide – Primary Stats

No matter whether you are playing an Operative or a Sniper, the SWTOR Imperial Agent has one primary stat: Cunning. Cunning increases the strength of all of your abilities and attacks as well as their critical hit rating.

As a secondary primary stat, you will want to focus on Endurance, which will help keep you alive. In SWTOR, many bosses do area of effect damage so you will need at least some health to stay alive.

There are three other primary stats which have some effect on the SWTOR Imperial Agent. The first is Aim, which increases the strength of your non-tech ranged attacks. This stat should never be used over Cunning due to the way Cunning works.

Next up, the Imperial Agent has Presence, which increases the strength of your companion. I have not seen very much gear which actually uses this stat, but it may be useful for creating a solo farming set.

Finally, there is Expertise, which increases your damage and healing in PvP. It also reduces the amount of damage you take from other players.

SWTOR Imperial Agent Stats Guide – Secondary Stats

Whether you are playing a Sniper or Operative, you will find that the same sorts of secondary stats appear on your gear. However, the value of these stats does depend on your spec, which we will go over below:

  • Accuracy: Accuracy increases the chance to hit of your abilities as well as reduces the resistance rate of your Tech abilities. This is useful for all builds aside from PvE healers – healing abilities do not miss or get resisted.
  • Alacrity: Alacrity increases the speed channeled attacks are casted. This stat does seem to lower the global cooldown on channeled effects, but seems to have no effect on any casted effect. As a result, Concealment-specced Imperial Agents benefit from this ability the least (since they use predominately instant attacks), whereas healers seem to benefit from it the most, as they use primarily channeled attacks.
  • Critical Rating: Critical rating increases the critical hit chance of your attacks. This is a good stat for everyone for PvE healers. PvE healers cannot rely on getting critical heals when healing a tank, during a 5-minute encounter you can easily have a bad streak of 10+ heals with no crits no matter what your crit rating is.
  • Power: Power is one of the best stats in the game for all Imperial Agent builds. It increases the strength of all of your abilities, including your regular attacks, tech attacks, and heals.
  • Surge: Surge increases the bonus damage your critical hits do. This is primarily a PvP stat, but could increase your DPS some in PvE if your gear got really good and your critical hit rate got very high.
  • Tech Power: Tech Power increases the strength of your tech attacks and your healing spells. Tech Power is really only found on weapons and off-hand pieces, so it is not something to focus on as it is not found on regular pieces. Cunning also increases your Tech Power.

In short, PvE healers should focus on Alacrity and Power with Critical Rating and Surge as a secondary stat, PvP healers should consider stacking Alacrity, Power, Critical Rating, some Accuracy, and even Surge once your gear reaches top-level (and of course Expertise). DPS players of all sorts should look to Critical Rating, Accuracy, and Power. Sniping specs which use more channeled abilities can work in Alacrity, but note that this does nothing for melee-oriented builds.
